Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about ACG’s services and how to get started.
Is my first conversation confidential?
Please do not include confidential details in an initial inquiry. We check conflicts and confirm an engagement before receiving sensitive information.
What does it cost?
We agree on the scope and fee before beginning. Depending on the matter, we use project fees, hourly arrangements, or monthly retainers.
Do you work outside Utah?
Some safety and risk consulting can be provided outside Utah depending on the project. Legal advice is limited to matters Devin is authorized to handle.
Is ACG a law firm or a safety consultancy?
ACG is a Utah professional limited liability company led by a Utah-licensed attorney. Legal and safety-related services are defined in the written engagement.
What does ACG do?
We provide legal advisory, occupational safety, and risk management services. Work includes contracts, business counsel, OSHA matters, workplace inspections, safety programs, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
Do you work with businesses outside construction?
Yes. Our work also includes business owners, service providers, and technology companies. Whether ACG can assist depends on the matter and agreed scope.
Can you help when OSHA or UOSH contacts our company?
We can review notices and citations, advise on responses, and help with appropriate regulatory matters. Contact us promptly because agency deadlines can be short.
Can you develop a site-specific safety plan or training?
Yes. We prepare and review safety programs, site-specific plans, orientations, and employee training tailored to the work and applicable requirements.
Do you serve as outside general counsel?
Yes. ACG offers ongoing or limited-scope legal support for contracts, governance, compliance, and business decisions, subject to conflicts review and a written engagement.
Are your safety audits and investigations automatically protected by attorney-client privilege?
No. Privilege is fact-dependent and is not created simply because an attorney participates. We discuss the purpose, scope, and handling of sensitive work at the outset.
Can I email documents or describe a sensitive matter right away?
Please first send a short, nonconfidential inquiry. Do not send confidential information or rely on an inquiry for an urgent deadline until we confirm that ACG can accept the matter.
How do I get started?
